How It Works

Last updated: 13 August 2026

This page walks through the full lifecycle of a trade on Event Trading App — from opening an account to receiving a withdrawal — in plain language, including the parts that are easy to misunderstand.

Step 1 — Open an account

Register with your email address. You will set a password for logging in and a separate withdrawal PIN, which is required to move money out. The PIN is stored as a cryptographic hash, not as readable text, so it cannot be recovered from our records — only reset.

You must be at least 18 years old, and you may hold only one account. Duplicate accounts may be suspended.

Step 2 — Add funds

Deposit using the payment methods listed in the app. Funds are credited to your balance once the payment is confirmed — for card and bank rails that is when the processor confirms; for cryptocurrency it is when the network confirms the transaction.

Two things to be careful about. Deposit only from a payment account in your own name — third-party deposits may be rejected or reversed. And if you are sending cryptocurrency, send it on the correct network to the exact address shown in the app. Crypto transfers are irreversible; a transfer to a wrong address cannot be recovered by us or by anyone else.

Step 3 — Choose a market

Pick the asset you want to trade. Each market has its own character — see our guides to Bitcoin, Ethereum and Gold. Crypto markets run continuously; gold follows scheduled sessions and is not always available.

Step 4 — Place the trade

A trade has three inputs:

The payout rate for a winning trade is displayed before you confirm. Once you confirm, the trade cannot be cancelled, modified or reversed.

Step 5 — Settlement

When the period ends, the trade settles automatically against market data supplied by independent third-party price providers. We do not set or adjust the settlement price.

If the price finished in the direction you chose, your stake is returned along with the payout at the displayed rate. If it did not, you lose the full stake. There is no partial outcome — this is the single most important thing to understand before you start.

What the payout rate does and does not tell you

A payout rate describes the return on one winning trade. It says nothing about how likely that trade is to win, and it says nothing about whether you will be profitable overall. A high payout rate does not reduce risk — your full stake is at risk on every single trade regardless of the rate. Read our Risk Disclosure in full.

Step 6 — Withdraw

Request a withdrawal of your available balance at any time. Withdrawals are paid to an account or wallet in your own name, and we may ask you to verify your identity before releasing funds — this is standard practice and protects your account.

Processing time depends on the method you choose and on your bank or the relevant blockchain network. Current minimums, available methods and expected timings are shown in the app. Full details are in our Refund & Withdrawal Policy.

What happens if something goes wrong

If a payment is taken but not credited, you are charged twice, or a technical fault on our side produces an incorrect result, contact support@eventtradingapp.com with your transaction reference. We aim to acknowledge within 2 business days and resolve within 10.

Losing trades are not refundable — that is the nature of trading, not a fault. The distinction matters, and it is set out plainly in our Refund Policy.

Trading responsibly

If trading is affecting your finances or wellbeing, stop and contact support to close your account.
